Brownie and ice cream squares // national ice cream day

HAPPY (ALMOST) NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY!!! July 15, 2018, may very well be my favorite day of the year! Ice cream is my favorite dessert and may rival ramen for my favorite food. Either way, I have to celebrate this wonderful day will an awesome ice cream dessert the whole family goes crazy for. Brownie and ice cream squares.

Great for guests or just the family

I love making these brownie and ice cream squares when people come to visit because it feeds a lot of people and you really can’t mess it up. It’s also easy to change up just by using a different ice cream flavor. I love it with strawberry, mint chocolate chip, chocolate chip cookie dough, coffee chip, and good ole vanilla bean. You name the flavor, it will be good.

My absolute favorite ice cream is Alden’s Organic. We have been enjoying it for years and this year I’ve had to honor of partnering with them to share my favorite products and recipes. So let’s get down to business. This is basically a brownie, ice cream cake with whipped cream topping. HELLO. If that doesn’t make you smile, I don’t know what will. I usually finish making it in the evening so it can chill overnight, but you only need to let it freeze for 3 hours. It MUST refreeze before you serve it.
